November 2012 - Adjunct professors in China

In September 2012 Andreas Schäffer was awarded as adjunct professor at Nanjing University, School of the Environment. This institute in Nanjing, cooperating with Bio5 since many years, is associated to the "State Key Laboratory of Pollution Control and Resource Reuse" and is regarded as one of the top environmental addresses in China. Nanjing University is member of the C9 League, an alliance of nine prestigious Chinese universities. In September 2012 Henner Hollert was awarded as adjunct professor at Chongquing University, College of Resources and Environmental Sciences. The University of Chongquing has more than 50,000 students and is one of the leading state universities in China. It has the status of a „National Key University“ of China and ranks 26th of more than 2500 universities in national rankings. Together with Chongquing University the Institute for Environmental Research at RWTH Aachen University investigates fate and effects of environmental pollutants at the Three Gorges Dam.
