Humboldt awardee Prof. Pietro Spanu for sabbatical in the lab of Prof. Ralph Panstruga

Prof. Pietro Spanu from Imperial College London (U.K.) visits the lab of Prof. Ralph Panstruga in the context of a sabbatical from May 2019-April 2020. In recognition of his past scientific achievements, Prof. Spanu has been granted a prestigious research award from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation to support his one-year stay at RWTH Aachen University. In addition, he received a Theodore von Kármán fellowship awarded by RWTH Aachen University. During his sabbatical, Prof. Spanu performs research on the transfer of small RNAs between the host plant barley and its associated fungal powdery mildew pathogen.
