Here you can find a more detailed Programme Description.
RWTH UROP enables students from RWTH Aachen University in the second academic year and up, to conduct temporary research projects at RWTH Aachen University, to be part of an RWTH research team and to support their work. By implementing teaching contents learned, the students will experience a necessary expansion of their study programme and be acquainted with topics and methods of their disciplinary area at a very early stage of their academic career. UROP projects promote the students' disciplinary and extra-disciplinary development and lead them to new career perspectives, e.g. graduate studies. In addition, they will get in contact with excellent researchers from our university.
RWTH UROP projects may be offered within and outside the semester and are not bound to fixed programme data or duration. At the moment, UROP projects are generally not credited with CPs, but are performed voluntarily by the students. If students want to receive credits for their projects they will need to discuss this issue individually with the examination board of their faculty. Remuneration by the chairs is possible, but not required.
- Bachelor students at RWTH Aachen University who are interested in conducting a UROP project at RWTH can find further information under Information for Students.
- Professors, post-docs, researchers and doctoral students at RWTH Aachen University who would like to gain highly-qualified support for their research projects can find further information under Information for potential Supervisors.
